Clone tool and healing brush not working

When I try to use the healing brush and clone tool with Apple Pencil. It says that I have click and hold a selected are which I am doing but nothing works. Everything was fine before the new update!!! Now I can’t finish editing my pics from my last photoshoot please help ASAP

@Got It All Here Workaround..... You can set the selection point by tapping and holding with your finger instead of with the pencil. Then use pencil as normal to heal/clone.

Update 1.6.11.85 Clone tool selection area still not responding to long pencil press. Selection spot can however be made with finger. Not clear if this is now by design?

The clone and healing brushes in Affinity Photo work fine for me as long as I am working in one doc. However, I do not seem to be able to use the clone brush tool in transferring from one doc to another, even though I'm on the an open and visible layer. Is that yet in AP?

Not sure what you mean by cloning from one doc to another. In iPad you can only have one doc open at a time. You could 'place' another image in your doc, rasterise it and then clone from that though.

You should be able to clone from other layers though, just tap the little triangle to the right of context menu and change the source from current layer to one of the other choices.
