The grid is dynamic and changes according to the current zoom level and the unit selected for your document.

Zooming in will give you smaller grid divisions up to the pixel (if your document units are set to pixels for example).

Currently there's no options to change/customize the grid. This is however being worked on and should appear in the beta soon.

It would be very helpful to set the major and minor grid spacing and subdivisions. For example for page of 16x16 icons, having the major grid lines every 16 pixels and the minor grid lines every one pixel would be very nice.

I am using 16x16 slices to export, but I cannot see the slices and edit the icon at the same time.

The adjustable sizing is great.  However, the ability to set color is needed as well.  The pale gray lines show up well against the dark background; however, if you are working on a light canvas, they don't show up that well.  No particular color works well in every situation.  That's why we need the option to select the color as needed.  Please consider adding this too.

Ah, that's wonderful!  The programs themselves are great examples of what good software ought to be.  But the developers are even better examples of what we wish all developers/programmers were!  This team is the most responsive to user needs/wants that I have ever encountered in decades of computer use.  But I shouldn't gush, should I?  :)
