Fixx
Importing material to a layout is the most basic command for layout application. I feel there is no real need to have separate import command for text and graphics (not to mention text import command is buried quite deep). Therefore it should be visible, simple and flexible. I propose that File > Import should be able to import both text and graphics, and both types same time. Publisher imports group of graphics fine at the moment, adding text files to the bunch would be excellent. Text import would in that operation need some polish: I would prefer cursor become "loaded text frame" and if you have a ready text frame (empty or not) you could load the text to it; or you could draw a new frame with the loaded text frame cursor and text would be loaded there. (In other softwares you would use mod keys to autoflow all text to new pages at the same go... but at the moment it seems Publisher copies new frames from the first one, not from page setup – so you need to format the first frame before you can autocopy it to next pages. Still, maybe doable..) I think the current separation comes from the fact that AD has ready built graphic import tool and it was just copied as ready codebase to Publisher, and text import was some quick add on. Please, it would be much better to combine these two.
