Helmut M
I so far found no way to insert images from a scanner. May be I don't no how. But if not, it should be absolutly in the finals publisher build in.
Fixx
Maybe you do not like it but supposed workflow is to scan with dedicated app, clean up the scan with Affinity Photo and just do the layout with Affinity Publisher.
mac_heibu
My 2 cents: It always has been an „unwritten law“ in DTP, to place images just by linking them. Embedding images by using „drag and drop“ or direct scanning causes many issues and has serious drawbacks. I personally don‘t see any reason, why scanning directly into a document should make sense. I say this, although I am aware, that the image handling of „Publisher“ (unembed, transfer to „AffPhoto“, …) reduces some possible issues. Nevertheless: If you want control about your document and the integrated assets, you should always link images instead of embedding them. For very long documents that is. However, there are situations where embedding images makes perfect sense, when you have a document with a very few pages, like a flyer, leaflet, ad, etc. Quote 2017 27” iMac 4.2 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7 • Radeon Pr 580 8GB • 64GB • Ventura 13.6.4. iPad Pro (10.5-inch) • 256GB • Version 16.
