Export range of page(s)

Recommended Posts

I have a document of several pages.
The pages don't have a standard dimensions (it is not an A4, but 17,5 by 11,3 cm)

When clicking on File > Export (to get images), you get 2 choices by Area: 1) all pages and 2) Current page.

I would like to have the option to control a range of pages I can export (like with printing, you can choose a range).

This is an important requirement when working on multi-page documents as some of the print services I use require different PDF's to be submitted for each section/part of the item. Currently I am having to use PDFSAM to extract the pages from the document, I know this is okay, but I do always worry that something will 'break' during this process.

Native export of page ranges would make the export section 'feel' more like a complete desktop publishing package.

+1

I often send a selection of pages to one or more reviewers. It is very useful when the full publication is 50+ pages with graphics and any output results in huge file sizes.

Sometime likes this: 5-8

Or like in MS Word: 1, 2, 4-6, 9

Thanks :)

No? In the print dialog you can - not in the export dialog.

Unless I’ve misunderstood the requirements, this feature exists in 1.7.3.

It works as shown and requested in 1.7.3. Also in the print dialog.

Case closed. :16_relieved:

You cannot export Pages from an AFDESIGN file as that sort of file does not have any Pages in it.
Designer documents (AFDESIGN) may contain Artboards but not Pages.
To export specific Pages from Designer you need to be editing an AFPUB (Publisher) document.
(There may be some exceptions to this – when editing documents in different applications – but the general rule is: Artboards in Designer, Pages in Publisher.)
