fernand0n
When I have two square shapes touching each in AD I always see a small gap between them. I'm absolutely sure they are touching each other. The gap is the same zooming in or out. Can someone tell me why this is happening? Thanks
Aammppaa
This is probably the most commonly reported bug in Affinity Designer, and had been discussed many times before. Essentially it is an artifact of the current anti aliasing system. Serif are aware of the issue, and hope to fix it at some point, but there is no indication of when, certainly not in 1.7 For more details I strongly recommend the search box, top right of the forum. fernand0n
Hey man, thanks. I followed your advice and found the discussions. Now another question, later I tried joining other two different shapes using the ADD operation and the gap was still there. Can you tell me why that happened? I remedied that adding a third shape between them. Aammppaa
Guest
Hello fernand0n, If the gap is still present after an "ADD" operation, it is certainly because the two shapes were not perfectly joined. Did you use snapping between the shapes to make sure they were well joined?
