bowen192
I am trying to create a hole in a shape using the Operations. When I create the hole using the Subtract operation, it changes the line weight of the hole to match the object it's subtracting from. For example: Does anyone know if I can I retain the line weight somehow?
Aammppaa
By subtracting you are creating a single object, and as such it has a single line weight. You can workaround in various ways, depending on you exact usage. For example… Do you need to create a single shape, or can you just nest the circle inside the rectangle, and fill the circle with the background colour, so that it looks like a hole? Or, create the shape as you describe above, and apply the thinner line weight. Now draw a rectangle the same size as the outer shape, give it no fill, and a stroke at the heavier line weight. Aammppaa
@Pšenda That will create the hole, but it doesn't give the hole an outline. You could of course group another circle with Normal blend mode to add the outline back in.
