AlainP
It's easy to change the background color of a text box frame and use a gradient color. But I'm trying to make vertical gradient and not only an horizontal one. It this possible with the current .58 version? -- Window 11 - 32 gb - Intel I7 - 8700 - NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 -- iPad Pro 2020 - 12,9 - 256 gb - Apple Pencil 2 -- iPad 9th gen 256 gb - Apple Pencil 1 -- Macbook Air 15" - Mac mini M2-Pro - 16 gb
walt.farrell
Good question. If it were a shape (e.g., a rectangle) then after filling with a gradient you could use the Transparency Tool to manipulate the gradient and change its direction. However, that doesn't seem to work for a gradient assigned to a Text Frame. I'm not sure if it's supposed to, and doesn't. Or if I just don't know how to do it. If nothing else works you could start with a shape, fill it with the gradient you want, then use Layer > Convert to Text Frame, then fill in the text. -- Walt Designer, Photo, and Publisher V1 and V2 at latest retail and beta releases PC: Desktop: Windows 11 Pro 23H2, 64GB memory, AMD Ryzen 9 5900 12-Core @ 3.00 GHz, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 Laptop: Windows 11 Pro 23H2, 32GB memory, Intel Core i7-10750H @ 2.60GHz, Intel UHD Graphics Comet Lake GT2 and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Laptop GPU. AlainP
Yes, converting a shape filled with a gradient to Text Frame works. But I think the gradient in the "Text Frame Studio" module should work to any desired angle. In an upcoming version maybe... While working on this I just found out that the Gradient Fill Tool can easily set a gradient color to the text. -- Window 11 - 32 gb - Intel I7 - 8700 - NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 -- iPad Pro 2020 - 12,9 - 256 gb - Apple Pencil 2 -- iPad 9th gen 256 gb - Apple Pencil 1 -- Macbook Air 15" - Mac mini M2-Pro - 16 gb
