larsh
Hi, is it possible to get the original RAW out of a *.afphoto file? Thanks, lars Quote all Aff 2.2: Capture One+ 23 pro; MacBook Pro, OSX 10.15.7, Fuji X-Pro2
walt.farrell
I don't think that's possible. In fact, I don't think it's even in the .afphoto file. But the original RAW file should still be where it was originally, unless you deleted it. Staff DWright Posted September 8, 2018 Staff Share Posted September 8, 2018 The .afphoto file is developed from your RAW file so unless the original RAW file was deleted it will still be in its original location

Once in place one could also hook up an Exporter for just the Raw data (as .dng). Similar to the way Photoshop deals with Raw files which live as Smart Objects inside psd files. At that point (as a side effect) one could retrieve the RAW even if the original file from the camera is no more available.
larsh
Hi, I know about the original location, and did this question, so you say: no. In other cases one can open the parcel as in Aperture, Fotos or DNG, if the RAF was included. lars Quote all Aff 2.2: Capture One+ 23 pro; MacBook Pro, OSX 10.15.7, Fuji X-Pro2
