duplicate pictures on all pages

If I place a picture on one page, it tends to be repeated on all other pages.

Are these pages tied to a master where you have placed the image? Or have you placed the image inside the layer on the bottom of the layer's stack created by the associated Master Page on each page/spread?

Can you upload the document you are working with so we can check what's going on please? Thanks.

Yes here it is, only a messing about document.

Incidentally I seem to have lost my staus bar at the moment, is therte a way of replacing it?
