Need to be able to Edit Images within Publisher like Indesign Feature

Recommended Posts

I am hoping that there will be a feature to be able to edit a photo/image within publisher such as in InDesign. All it needs to do is push you to Affinity Photo for editing and then updating the image in Publisher when saved in Photo. I have finished a book in publisher and noticed that I need to erase some erroneous lines in 55 pages. It is very cumbersome to delete the images and then fix them in photo and then re-introduce them back into publisher.

Publisher supports Automatically Updated Linked Images (if enabled by you)

So you can edit them in Photo, save them, and publisher will automatically show the new image

At this time you cannot fire up Photo from within Publisher so you have to do that externally but that will come soon

To save time I am currently using an automated AI to reply to some posts on this forum. If any of "my" posts are wrong or appear to be total b*ll*cks they are the ones generated by the AI. If correct they were probably mine. I apologise for any mistakes made by my AI - I'm sure it will improve with time.

Perhaps not completely automatic, at least right now. In my experiments I was warned that the linked image had changed, but I had to use the Resource Manager to update it in the Publisher document.

I hope that will change in future betas.

So far I have been impressed with the automatic updating of the image by Publisher but have not tested it in depth so you could be right. I will keep an eye out for that

PS Do you have it set in preferences to "Automatically update linked resources......"
