chris.bannu
Hi guys, It would be awesome if you could add something similar to css3's spread radius for the drop shadow effect, it would really save us time Thank you, Chris
chris.bannu
Nobody needs spread for the drop shadow? Is no one using Affinity for UI design?
Mithferion
Do you mean something like this? Best regards! chris.bannu
You didn't use the drop shadow for that, right? You used a blur/size/color overlay? Also, how did you make the AD layout look like this? Mithferion
carl123
I suspect it is an Outer (drop) Shadow effect but the lower rectangle (with the effect) is simply smaller than the top rectangle Mithferion 1 Quote To save time I am currently using an automated AI to reply to some posts on this forum. Guest
Hello chris.bannu, As said @carl123, I also lean towards an external shadow on a smaller rectangle. You can also apply transparency to it to simulate the difference in shadow density as it moves away from the rectangle.
chris.bannu
Yeah the smaller rectangle makes a lot more sense. Why didn't I think of that? Still, a spread option would be a great benefit, no? Depending on the shape, this trick could not be bulletproof. Not to mention that it takes more time to create. Indeed that's what I did: two rectangles, and the smaller one with the Outer Shadow Effect. As per your second question, basically: Monochromatic Icons Hide the toolbar I set the Tools to two Columns (View > Customize Tools...): Best regards!
