How to Clear Text Format after Pasting Text

Recommended Posts

You are talking about „breaks“.

If you want to get rid of multi breaks, copy a paragraph or a line break symbol from the imported text.

  • Open the „Search & Replace“ section.
  • Copy the paragraph symbol twice into the search field.
  • Copy the paragraph symbol once into the replace field.
  • Hit „Replace all“.
  • Do this as long as multi paragraphs are found.

(The way of displaying the paragraph symbol as an object in the search/replace field makes it quite probable, that we will soon see a more comfortable way to insert special characters into the Search/Find dialog. :)

Windows users can already do it, but apparently Mac users cannot do it yet.

In Windows there is a magnifying glass icon under the Find field of the dialog. Clicking it offers a list of the invisible characters to insert into the field.

Similarly there's an icon under the Replace field that will insert the invisible characters there.

I hate you bloody Window users, @walt.farrell! :) :) :)

Walt, please give me a Screenshot of this, so I know, what I will dream of tonight!

Sorry. I can show you the icons you're missing, but not the pulldowns with the characters, so it may not help you dream very much :)

Thanks, Carl. What did you use to capture that pulldown? It seems to disappear whenever I try.

Interesting. The pulldown disappears when I try that. I'll have to experiment some more. Thanks.

I wonder if it's been reported to Serif as a bug?

Hi Walt-Farrell, Carl123

try using Gadwin Printscreen. It allows you capture Full screen or user defined area, where to save screen prints, whether to name them automatically, what format to save in and if you click on something like the magnifying glass (hey Mac users!!), then when the dropdown appears just hit your user defined hotkey/s to capture the image.  Can't do without it, so much easier than copying a full screen print

Ah. It works with PrtScrn, but not with Alt-PrtScrn, which I customarily use. Thanks for helping me figure out how to capture some shots that have troubled me in the past.
