Dams
Hi, right now when you want to export slice with the export persona, you can check the 2x checkmark to export twice size for retina resolution. However, designers can works directly at 2x and request to generate the 1x instead. This is esp the case when you mix pixel and vector layers. Right now, it's not possible to work at 2x resolution and generate 1x (or half size) resolution asset. Please consider addind it.
Dams
To add more to this request, you need to work at retina resolution if you want to add more details for high res screen. While those details will be lost when you reduce the size but it's ok as they wouldn't appear anyway. But the contrary is not possible. Working in 1x and adding details for 2x require do redo all the models. So no time saving.
Staff Andy Somerfield Posted August 15, 2014 Staff Share Posted August 15, 2014 Hi Dams, It is possible right now - when you make a new document, check the "Retina" box - then even though your rulers / guides etc. will read out units as if you were editing 1x - there are in fact 2x number of pixels etc. Exporting 1x or 2x from a "retina" document will then do what you want :) AndyS
