Adobe After Effects alternative?

Recommended Posts

Do you have any plans to create an alternative software to Adobe After Effects? There are no real options yet out there that are as powerful as After Effects. Now that you have Photo, Designer and Publisher, an After Effects alternative is all I need to completely forget Adobe.

Sorry, I don't know how to answer that... we have other plans, but an After Effects type program is not part of them. It's like asking whether we plan to write games software.... No we don't.... Why? because its not part of our plans is the best I have.

Hi,

if you need an alternative to After Effects then try Fusion 9 from Blackmagic Design.

There is a free version with a couple of limitations (althou saving and exporting is not limitated.) I would say 95% of the Payed version are in the Free version!

Just search for it on Youtube to get an overview.

I recomend Fusion 9 and Davinci Resolve because they are awsome and are even used in Hollywood Productions!

Have Fun!

Pro editors say that there is no alternative for AE if you want both compositing and motion graphics. They also say AE is a heap of old ineffective spaghetticode for which there is no future.

Resolve, with now much of Fusion functionality built in, may though be way to go if you want AE alternative. It is not though a light program for light use.

You can also download Fusion 9 by itself.

Thank you all!! I tried Fusion. It is very powerful but with a long learning curve. I was also hoping to find motion graphics software in which I could also use many if not all the plugins I have for AE.
