Bo Lovenhjelm
Wouldn't it be nice to be able to import all or selected custom styles from another document?
Dave Harris
Have you tried Text > Text Styles > Import Text Styles ? It should give you a panel with checkboxes next to each style so you can pick which styles get imported.
Bo Lovenhjelm
That was my original thought. Only the result as show in attached dump, gives me option to chooses a file. No panel is shown.
Seneca
Did you select the document you want to import the styles from first? This will then give you the panel Dave is talking about. Bo Lovenhjelm
No, I didn't, cause I thought it either was a bug or that Publisher wanted me to find a separate styles file. Ok, so no bug Suggestion - Maybe GUI should be a little more obvious? Maybe say - "Select Publisher document to import styles from" not just show a finder window? somnolentsurfer
I'm trying to do this, but the dialog keeps coming up empty even though the document I'm importing contains plenty of text styles, both character and paragraph. What am I doing wrong?

What am I doing wrong? Selecting the wrong document? The only time I get a blank dialog like that is when I click a document with no text styles defined in it, specifically a .afphoto or .afdesign file where text hasn't been used.
