Edge Text Wrap is DOA

Recommended Posts

While trying to determine the fate of some missing text -- in a text block into which I'd put a png graphic to which I’d applied the “edge text wrap” property -- I made the png translucent (accidentally discovering a UI bug -- posted elsewhere) and found that Publisher had weirdly tucked away the missing text behind the png while simultaneously and incorrectly wrapping adjacent text around the png.

What were you expecting? "Edge" means the text will go inside the shape and outside the shape, while avoiding the edges of the same. That's what's happened here. It makes more sense with unfilled curves. Maybe you actually wanted what we call "tight", where the text stays outside the shape but hugs its boundaries?
