External display on Mac iMac problems

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I'm just starting to use Affinity photo. I have a strange problem: After editing very lightly a picture (3-4 steps) the image starts to disappear displaying only a cropped part of the image on the upper left corner, the rest is the checked working space background. I can fill the screen only if I slide the zoom to 150% and use the navigator.

I'm using an iMac with an Eizo screen, see screen grabs below.

Any ideas how to make this problem disappear?

Many thanks for your reply!

Nico

Hi Nico,

Welcome to the forums :)

Could you confirm for me, did you start working on the image on your Mac screen, then move Affinity across to your external monitor?

Your issues may be fixed by changing your Display profile. This can be done by going to Edit>Preferences>Performance and changing the Display mode to Metal.
Please let me know if this helps!
