Affinity Publisher features

Recommended Posts

As a daily user of Serif PagePlus since 2003 I'm looking for reasons to move to Affinity Publisher. Can developers tell me if Publisher will include the very useful "crop to shape" and the "Mesh Warp" tools which are in PagePlus. I use the first to give photos rounded corners, and the second to warp text to fit on to curved surfaces. I do appreciate the the current version of Publisher is in Beta form.

@Paul Banbury

Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums :)

crop to shape is native to all Affinity apps, just nest one thing as a child of another vector shape in the layers tab and it crops/clips to that object non-destructively.

Mesh warp would be a designer feature first (it's not there yet either) and may not come to Publisher. Affinity Photo has a liquify persona, but that is more for distorting pixel layers. The suite should be seen as a whole as they can load and save each others files.
