Just tap inside the text, go to the Edit menu ... tap Select all, then tap copy on the keyboard (the paperclip). I don’t think there’s anything special. If there is, I haven’t found it. I do miss a proper keyboard Windows PCs. Photo and Designer, latest non-beta versions.

Ebay Australia has this keyboard for $109 !! That’s some markup! M1 IPad Air 10.9/256GB lpadOS 17.1.1 Apple Pencil (2nd gen).
