Layer markup not reliabble

1.)

I imported my CV from PDF to Publisher. It contains some graphical elements as well as text.

2.)

the import was great, the elements are put in there as different layers. But if I ticked a layer with a graphical element, sometimes it highlighted the element on the workboard, sometimes it didn't. 

3.)

If I choose a layer, it must highlight the containing elements reliable.

 

Because its a cv with an application, I can not upload this document to public. If interested, I send this to serif only.

Elements should generally be highlighted in the document but it can also depend on what tool you have selected as to show it is shown
