I have used other programs that export to HTML but always end up righting it myself which I now prefer. However what I would like is an HTML Blueprint export which would have all widths, heights, spacing hex colors and stuff like that showing on and between objects so as I am writing the HTML and CSS I am not having to click each object and get its dimensions, colors, fonts and so forth. This would also greatly streamline handing a layout off to someone else like an intern who may not have Affinity. I know, thy should get it...trust me I will tell them.

Can someone from affinity please reply to this topic?

Generally Serif does not respond to feature requests; they just read them and factor them into their planning.

However, so far they have said that Publisher is for books, and they have shown no inclination to implement HTML export or other web-design functions in the Affinity suite of products. So while it may come someday, I doubt it will be in the next few years.

It is now 2020, a full generation of humans has grown up not knowing that there existed a world without internet.  Surely no one who does any kind of publishing doesn't think of exporting their work to the web.  I just bought the whole suite of products (including the iPad apps!) and am happy to finally, maybe, be free of Adobe.  Please don't disappoint us.

Your patience will be rewarded.

Where have you seen any hint that Serif is considering HTML export? I must have missed it.

I just bought affinity publisher, but when I layout a website I can't export assets (jpg, png, gif, quality 0-100) There is no export of the layout by parts. I suggest they add slices, html export or something like that. In quark xpress I can. It is something very basic, if we create file / new / web. Please add an asset control option so that we can send them to the web development department.

Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums.

Sounds like you need Designer, not Publisher. The applications are suited for different purposes, and for your purpose you need Designer's Export Persona.

I don't know much about web design / html myself, but going on what I see (and on the websites that my wife designs), don't you really need specialist software (or to write code yourself), rather than just some sort of export function from an app that isn't really designed for it?

Serif used to produce WebPlus (a WYSIWYG web site design app,) but, AKAIK, they dropped it because web design was becoming so complex. Wouldn't adding web/html support to a primarily DTP app be going backwards? I would have thought that it was better to improve and add to the core functions of APub, rather than adding features that should really be in a specialist app.
