Predefined Text Frames on Masterpages

First of all, Publisher is a great program. I am currently rebuilding an Indesign document in the publisher. Easy to test from the publisher. 

Probably a stupid question. But how can I create predefined text frames on the master page, which I can then fill with text on the actual page?
Or do you have to create these text frames in the actual page? 
What do you think?

Text Frames on Master Pages will always contain the text you place in them on the Master Page.

Therefore text frames must be created on the Page itself.

But you can set up guidelines on the master page to assist.

And you can autoflow text which will automatically duplicate text frames until there are enough new pages to contain the contents.

have you ever worked with any DTP application? There is no need to enter text in text boxes created in master pages (only if you need some text to be shown on each page. Creating linked text frames inside master pages allow text that is inserted on standard pages (not in master pages) to flow like you link the text boxes in master pages.

Yes, though admittedly not a great deal.

OK, and how do you do that in Affinity Publisher?

1. Create a text box on the first page (not master).
2. Insert the text (from text menu)
3. SHIFT click on the arrow on the right side of the text box.

I don't think that creating linked text boxes are possible in Publisher. As a matter of fact, I have't tried, yet.

Ah OK - sorry I misinterpreted you.

I thought you were saying Affinity could do what the OP asked.
