drkanukie
Its really hard to read the panel and text on the dark background in the excellent video tutorials, due to the subtle shading, there is just not enough contrast - especially if you don't have perfect eye sight. Using the light interface gives a lot more contrast and would make the tutorials easier to follow. Thanks for making such excellent products and training materials. jmwellborn
I wanted to suggest the same thing, but thought I was being picky. Perhaps the videos are in “beta” too, and will be refined at a later date to be as clear as the Vimeo videos they have produced for Photo. But I definitely agree, I had my nose about 2 inches from my 27” IMac screen, desperately trying to read the words in all those panels. When I set up my download, I immediately changed the interface to the lighter version. WOW!!! AllanP
I agree - the dark interface just doesn't work for me either! Good to see that it's a simple setting ion the program to switch to what a user prefers.
Copper Star Media
I was just coming to post this as a request for when the videos for the final product are done. Not that I need the light interface, but more that the use of the dark interface, combined with a dark demo/sample makes is even harder to see. Fortunately, I have a big screen I can attach the laptop to, but I think for the future, Serif might want to consider higher contrast options for the demos. Maybe do two samples and let people vote or something. Thank you!
fde101
Maybe we could invent a new skinnable video format that would allow color schemes of captured screenshots to be altered dynamically during playback to account for users with different requirements? Standard skin, high-contrast skin, color-blind skin, onion skin...
Przemysław
I've been using Dark Theme myself for some time, but recently I switched to Light Theme, because it's too black and the controls don't make a big difference. Tutorials, especially when watched in lower resolutions, definitely need to be in Light Theme. +1 from me. jmwellborn 1 Quote W11, Dell G5, i7, 64GB, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2600, Wacom Intuos Pro M + iPad Pro 2018. sakrajda.eu
Steps
I agree that in the tutorials videos the UI is barely readable due to low contrast.
