I am a beginner to designing. I just wish to learn it as a hobby. Tried Inkscape but it's UI isn't great.

Then I tried Affinity Designer and liked it immediately. I think I'd like to buy it after the trial ends.

But I saw the same product on Microsoft Store. Sadly couldn't find a trial version for that. I like the idea of sandboxed apps for the ease of installation and updates. However, as I read on the forums - the store and desktop license aren't tied together. There aren't any reviews available for the Store app (not even on the store itself). I would have liked to know how the UWP version compares to desktop version; not just in terms functionality, but also bug fixes, customer/community support and how it handles Windows protocols.

Has anybody used the UWP version and would like to share their review?

Is there a chance I can get a refund if I don't like the UWP version (if yes how long is the refund window?).

Hi Arif,

You can get a refund for the UWP version however I'm not sure how long the window is as its handled by Microsoft. You can read some Microsoft Store reviews at the link below.

Thanks

Thanks Callum for the response.

The reviews were not available in my country's Microsoft Store.

I think I'll get the Store version for convenience. By the way, do I get freebies/bonus content if I get the program from Microsoft Store? Or is it exclusive to the Affinity Store?
