Roenbaeck
I would like to convert my illustrated math book for children from InDesign to Affinity Designer. It seems that the simplest way is to take the print-ready PDF generated by InDesign and just open it in Affinity Designer. However, the margins and bleed settings are lost that way so they have to be reentered. The spreads are also lost and the book appear as single pages, but this can also be remedied by selecting "Facing pages" in the document setup. Is there anything else that needs to be done? Is something vital lost if done this way? I am guessing the other option would be to set up the book from scratch and cut and paste images and text, but that requires a lot more work. Moscool
I've tried a simple document conversion from pdf it's fine for anything unstyled. You do lose paragraph styles though so my bullets were treated as simple text for example. Because my document had so many styled paragraphs I think I will set the styles up first in Publisher and then copy/paste. An alternative would be to search/remove all bullets. A bit undecided at this point but I think it's always better to use 100% styled paragraphs.
