firstdefence Posted August 30, 2018 Share Posted August 30, 2018 Cropping is the process of removing/hiding part of an image, You don't crop an image by making a new document. You can make a New Document and fit an image that is larger or smaller into the document space but be aware that images can have different ratios, in your screenshot you can see a 3:2 < this is a ratio. Some images when resized into a document with a different ratio will go out side the bounds of the document effectively cropping it. There is a dedicated Crop Tool.
