so what
After installing Publisher the icon in front of all my svg-files changed from AD to Publisher. So when I click on those files now they open in Publisher and not in AD where I need them. Inconvenient.

What happens if you select one of these SVG files, get info (in finder) and change the app associated with it? What if you do that for all files of that kind? Does this fix it? Great, pleased to be able to help. Maybe a restart might sort out the icons.
so what
Sorry, restart did not restore the AD icons. Instead I discovered my old psd files would also open in Publisher when I clicked them. But I could change the app associated with the psd files as you suggested. It seems when in says "Affinity openable" in den finder info, "Publisher" is the default choice.
