Need ability to add arrowheads, pointers, dots at end of lines, brackets, etc. Use this a lot in technical documentation right inside the document.

The graphic is placed, then callouts added, all is grouped and positioned on page.

Arrowheads is an absolute must for a layout and publishing program. The most basic online design and publlishing apps have it, even word and apple's pages. Please implement it sooner rather than later.

@Mugsy

Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums :)

Affinity Publisher will get this when it is added to Affinity Designer, where it has been on the official Affinity Designer roadmap for some time.

It's been on that list since 2014.  I would think that it could have been added by now.

Much agree

Arrowheads are a must

As is a set of compatible apps i.e. Publishing text, vector drawings, and image manipulation

I cannot be the only one wanting to leave my suite of Adobe software behind, which gets flakier each time Apple do an update

My understanding of the roadmaps as mentioned above is that the indicated features should be expected sometime during the 1.x versions of the applications.

Assuming that to be accurate, and given the above comment that they will be in Publisher when they are in Designer, that would mean sometime before 2.0 is released, thus while the updates are still free...

I am not a designer, nor a technical editor, and I hope everybody won't laugh at me, but here is what I would do in the meantime, because I really, really like Publisher and really, really am thoroughly annoyed with Adobe.   So I have attached a screen shot.    969887727_ScreenShot2018-11-14at2_33_15PM.thumb.png.8b46e3af1acd3c8c6e75aa4ca0d766cb.png

There is an arrow shape available too.

Yes there is, but it is very short and rather wimpy.   Mugsy’s sample showed a longer arrow.

You can customize it quite a bit using the options on the context toolbar.  Agreed it is not the most optimal solution in the world, and they should eventually get this working on paths, but if the arrows you need are relatively straight, it is still something.
