iaing
When I place a file I'd like 'import options' - biggest use of this is when placing a pdf, if the pdf was saved with bleed you can choose whether to place the whole pdf page, just the bleed, or just the trim content. Say you're working on a magazine, and various people are sending you pdfs for their adverts - any designer's default is to send pdfs with bleed and trim mark, printers marks etc. for a printed file. But I'm placing their advert within a printed page, so don't want their bleed and crop marks this time. With import options in Indesign, I can just place the trimmed content without having to manually hide the crop marks etc. inside a content box.
