mmasch
Hi. Shadow on text, over a gradient that is over a image creates some strange results. Something to verify before Publisher goes for sale? Otherwise: Publisher Beta looks promising after an hour worth of test :-)
Staff Chris B Posted August 31, 2018 Staff Share Posted August 31, 2018 Hey mmasch, Can you attach the file? I've had a go at reproducing it but can't get the same effect when using Multiply but I can with Colour Burn and a couple others. mmasch
Hmmm. Looks like this artifact appears just in the screen-view when designing in Publisher Beta? Tried to export to a Press-PDF (300dpi), and i came out very good/as expected. Also got a good result with a exported JPG image. But it still should be looked into so users/designers dont have to doubt the screen to the actual result :-) Untitled.pdf
Staff Chris B Posted August 31, 2018 Staff Share Posted August 31, 2018 Thanks for the file. I think this is happening where the rectangle and Picture Frame edges meet. Might be something to do with aliasing but I'm not sure. I'm surprised it exports fine. I'll check it out. mmasch 1 How to format a bug report | Learning Resources | List of V2 FAQs | YouTube Tutorials
carl123
The document is in CMYK colour format, the problem does not show in RGB colour format The same problem is in Affinity Designer so not unique to APub The problem appears to be fixable by adding a full size white rectangle (i.e. covering the whole page) to the bottom of the layers stack. mmasch
Tried to change the document colour format to RGB/8, and can confirm that screen then previewes/displays the effect correct without artifacts. Looks like it's a CMYK problem...
