postmadesign
I tried to paste text from excel into a table, but this does not seem to work, and it pasts the contents somewhere else on the page, but not as a table?
Chris_K
Currently if you just paste the text it will paste as a text frame. If you select a cell it should paste it's contents into a table cell. We're not advanced enough yet to auto create a table I;m afraid Serif Europe Ltd - Check the latest news at www.affinity.serif.com

erickp
Making "Tables" a little more robust would be extremely useful in terms of workflow. I tried importing a CSV file and I can't seem to do it. I tried pasting 4 columns with 10 rows from Excel, into a table within publisher and it seems to paste the whole thing in one column down various rows. Doesn't seem to recognize the columns and rows correctly.
blw
Agreed. I have a bunch of tables to copy from electronic sources. I will do them manually for now, but please put this on the backlog for the future!
walt.farrell
Try making a table, with at least one row with at least 2 cells, then selecting that row, then pasting the table text in. That works for tables copied from LibreOffice Calc. -- Walt Designer, Photo, and Publisher V1 and V2 at latest retail and beta releases PC: Desktop: Windows 11 Pro 23H2, 64GB memory, AMD Ryzen 9 5900 12-Core @ 3.00 GHz, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 Laptop: Windows 11 Pro 23H2, 32GB memory, Intel Core i7-10750H @ 2.60GHz, Intel UHD Graphics Comet Lake GT2 and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Laptop GPU. blw
Excellent tip. That mostly worked - I copied from Numbers in this case. Thanks!
