Pattern Fills

Something I've always wanted out of InDesign but isn't a feature is a nice simple way to drop in patterns, as a fill method on any shape, as when I'm laying out I really like to use a lot of them as design elements. 

Is this a feature that is already planned! And if not hopefully the community agrees with me that it's a killer feature :)!

Yesss! I miss this too. Not just for design elements but for practical use too. For example, a grid note area in a workbook - this would make it so much easier.
