Polygonius
Not really AP-topic, but there are al lot of smart guys here;-) My retina-imac creates screenshots always with 144 dpi. So the screenshot is double-time big than the "original" (what i´m looking at my screen). Is there a way to tell this "app" that i want 72dpi? And BTW: it always puts the shots into my desktop-folder as PNG.I want it 92% in another folder, as jpg. Any way for that? Staff Gabe Posted August 29, 2018 Staff Share Posted August 29, 2018 Hi @Polygonius , The only way would be to resize the image to 72 DPI ( Document > Resize Document ). Other than that there's not much we can do as we're reading the DPI from the file. As for the default folder, you would need to modify com.apple.screencapture's location. Not being an Affinity-related issue I'm afraid I cannot advise more on this, but if you do a quick google search I'm sure you will find the answer. Thanks, Gabe. h_d
Hi @Polygonius The OSX utility Cocktail lets you specify the file format and location for screen grabs. I don't think it will let you change the size. It's not free, but it's not particularly expensive either and does tons of other things too. Hope this helps, h_d Quote Affinity Photo 2.5.3, Affinity Designer 2.5.3, Affinity Publisher 2.5.3, Mac OSX 14.5, 2018 MacBook Pro 15" Intel. gdenby
You can also use OnyX.app. Freeware, but be sure to get the version for your OS. It is also a good system maintenance app As far as the re-sizing, you can batch process w. Preview. Open a bunch, select all, go to tools/adjust size, and change the resolution. save R C-R 1 Quote iMac 27" Retina, c. 2015: OS X 10.11.5: 3.3 GHz I c-5: 32 Gb, AMD Radeon R9 M290 2048 Mb iPad 12.9" Retina, iOS 10, 512 Gb, Apple pencil Huion WH1409 tablet

But AFAIK, there is no way to set the dpi or image size. That is 'baked into' the OS.
