Kennethchase
Can I import file of a digital painting I created in Procreate for more work in Affinity pro? Then export back to procreate? If not and I add my project to iPhoto and import to Affinity will it maintain the 300 dpi from the original? Thanks t
Staff Dan C Posted August 24, 2018 Staff Share Posted August 24, 2018 Hi Kennethchase, Welcome to the forums You can export your file from Procreate in .PDF format, then open this in Affinity Designer to continue working on your art. Procreate supports .PSD import, but not .PDF, however there is a current known bug where .PSD files crash Procreate on import when created in Affinity - see this thread for more details. If you don't mind your project being rasterised then you can export your Affinity file as an image and open this in Procreate! Kennethchase
My takeaway is it is best to finalize my work in Affinity. When I save to iphoto will it be ready for printing? thanks

What would happen if I opened my file from iPhoto in Affinity worked on it then put it back in iPhoto then imported the photo into Procreate? would that somehow degrade the quality when printed? Staff Dan C Posted August 24, 2018 Staff Share Posted August 24, 2018 Any image is technically ready for printing, so I don't quite understand your question, my apologies. That should not degrade the quality of your image, provided it is exported at the same resolution it was imported into Affinity, using say the JPEG (Best Quality) preset.
