Hi KellyF,

Welcome to the forums.

Have you tried removing the app from the dock and adding again from Applications? If this fails try removing the app from Applications and then downloading again from the App Store.

I have the Afinity logo on my I-mac dock but when I click on it the program doesn't open ...

It is possible that the app is already open but there is no indication of that other than the app's name appearing in the Mac menu bar to the right of the Apple menu icon. This can happen if you close the workspace window when the app is open, no document is open, & you are not using Window > Separated Mode.

To make that (a little) more obvious, you can enable this Dock System Preference:

The indicator is just a small dot below the app's Dock icon, but it is better than nothing.
