Opening AI with more than 1 artboard not as expected

Recommended Posts

I opened an AI File with more than one artborad in Designer. This is something that I have very often.

Now it seems that Affinity is not able to have more than one artboard. Instead of giving me the opportunuty to choose which artboard I need with some little previews (like Photoshop does) Designer just opens every artboard in groups. That seems unusable for me because I often use artboards with different size.

When will there be a possibility to use artboards?

Could you please give me soe more information how to handle this?

Thanks

Heike

Hi guys,

We're not trying to be silent about it - we just had nothing to update you with! :)  We've explained before about the order in which features get developed not always being exactly as you'd expect - but it's usually because of things which have consequences on other things, or which piggy-back off other features, so they need to be done first in order to allow us to get on with other features. I know that we'll be starting to look at this as soon as our update to the App Store has gone live - which I'm hoping to submit in the next week or so.

Thanks for your patience - we really are typing away enthusiastically as fast as we can (and then some more!) :)

Matt

Have you tried a recent Customer Beta? In 1.1.12.23308 it does let you choose which ArtBoard to open, with a preview. It calls them "Pages", but they are actually ArtBoards. It copes with them being different sizes.
