When I want to open raw files Windows Explorer cannot display the image, just showing an icon for it.  Is there a built in image browser in Affinity Photo that will show the images?  If not it means that I have to use something like ZoomBrowser to identify the file I want to open, which is a pain.  I'm on Windows 7.

Hi  Nickji,
Welcome to the forums :)

If you download the following codec file for windows then you'll be able to view your RAW files in Windows Explorer!

https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/download/details.aspx?id=26829

Please note -

I am currently out of the office for a short while whilst recovering from surgery (nothing serious!), therefore will not be available on the Forums during this time.

Should you require a response from the team in a thread I have previously replied in - please Create a New Thread and our team will be sure to reply as soon as possible.

Many thanks!

Not all RAW files are showing in Windows.
I have had very good experiences with FastStone. Click here.
There are still some alternatives eg irfanview.

Cheers

Our messages must have crossed!  I just did that and it's all working now.  The link you posted is a better one than the default one I posted, at least if you want UK English it is.
