5argon
For example in Photoshop I used to be able to do this : select just a thin line and free scale down. But in Affinity it is strange that it averages even the alpha not existing in the marquee and kind of applying bilinear all over it, messing it up. How can I temporarily change the resampling algorithm?
Staff Gabe Posted August 10, 2018 Staff Share Posted August 10, 2018 Hi @5argon, Welcome to the forums. You can change the viewport resample to Nearest Neighbour by going to Preferences > Performance > View Quality. Make sure you change the resample method to Nearest Neighbour as well. You can't currently achieve the "Nearest neighbour" stretch. We are aware of this and it has already been logged with our developers. Thanks, Gabe. TSiOX
I know this is an old thread, but that's not really a correct answer or am I the dumb one? I currently got same problem, how do I free transform with nearest neighbour just like in Photoshop? Fixx

Here is a macro to help: Fill alpha of selected pixels.afmacro Using the macro: Make your one pixel wide or one pixel high selection. Press cmd+j (ctrl+j on Windows) to duplicate the selection to a new Pixel object. Ensure Force Pixel Alignment is enabled then press v key for Move Tool and stretch that new object while the selection marquee (marching ants) is still active. Run the macro while the selection marquee is still active. carl123 and Gabe
