Merge all layers with the same name Photo

Recommended Posts

Unfortunately it is massive drawback that affinity doesn't support any scripting language. And it is crucial for me to have

ability to merge all layers that have the same name, or at least be able to select all layers with the same name using one click.

Any Idea guys how can I do this?

For example I have 20 layers with name equal abc

Sadly when I record macro and use "select layer named abc, and then when I play this macro, only the last layer with the name abc  is selected.

I can't see a way to do this. As you will have seen with the options you get when selecting a layer while recording the Macro, there is no 'select all layers named ABC'.

Someone else might have a workaround method that i'm unaware of, so i'll leave this post in Questions for now and move it to Feature Requests as and when needed :)

So are you adding it since I have like 100 layers. I'm creating a texture with different maps which have identical names and I need to be able to hide/show them for export.

Example:
Leaf1-albedo
Leaf1-normal

Leaf1-roughness

And I have around 50 more with those same layer names in a group, so to export an image with only the "albedo" type layer I'd have to do through dozens of them.

In short, I need to be able to select all layers with the same name so I can multi-edit them.
