KitKat1947
Hi to the forum, This might be something that can't be done but I thought I would raise this query. How can I have Affinity Photo open up with some per-assigned assets available in folder where they can be picked up and 'PLACED' on an open image without having to go hunting for them on my external hard drives every time I want to place them. e.g. my signature or logo. Hope I have explained my question clearly. Thanks in advance to forum members for reading the above. Staff Lee D Posted August 10, 2018 Staff Share Posted August 10, 2018 Hi Edwin, Unfortunately Affinity Photo doesn't have an asset area where commonly used files can be referenced quickly. It may be something thats added in the future as Affinity Designer has this feature already.
KitKat1947
Thanks Lee for your explanation. At least it is not a problem with my dementia situation creeping up on me........... I am going to try and think of how to organise my workflow a bit better (If I can) You can see that I am starting to use a new signature if you look at my orchid picture below.............. I have to hunt for this signature every time I want to place it on a affinity photo image. How do a flag up this point to the development team or can you send my request to them please. Seriously I would 'PAY' for such specialist tools to be added in to the main programme as a tool box package. Best regards Edwin John in BB Slovak Republic. Rick G
Search the forum for Asset management. There are a lot of good ideas out there many of them free. I have used ACDSEE for years and since you are using Affinity, you only need the bottom of the line product. They try to sell it like it is photoshop. It is not. Affinity is better although.I used to do a lot of editing in it, I seldom do any now.. Besides you can define outside editors and load the default (Photo in my case) with a hot key Quote Affinity Designer 2.2.2075 & beta 2.3.1.2212 Affinity Photo 2.2.2075 beta 2.3.1.2212Affinity Publisher 2.2.2075 & beta 2.3.1.2212 Windows 11 Pro Version 22H2 OS build 22621.1928 Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-10700 CPU @ 2.90GHz 2.90 GHz Installed RAM 16.0 GB (15.7 GB usable) System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor
