Naty
Hi, "personas"! I am new to Affinity, but I am learning fast and now I need help. After learning how to use gradient tool, I was working on perspective and noticed that the gradient effect won't follow the changes (see image). I am using Affinity Design and the gradient was applied to simple shapes. I don't want to rasterise them. Does anyone know how to make the gradient follow the changes? Thanks. Love, from Brazil Przemysław

P. S. For a change of perspective, do not forget to reduce the height of the object, see https://affinityspotlight.com/article/frankentoon-creating-a-funny-video-game-boss-in-affinity-designer/ Naty 1 Quote Affinity Store (MSI/EXE): Affinity Suite (ADe, APh, APu) 2.4.0.2301 Dell OptiPlex 7060, i5-8500 3.00 GHz, 16 GB, Intel UHD Graphics 630, Dell P2417H 1920 x 1080, Windows 11 Pro, Version 23H2, Build 22631.3155. Pšenda
Unfortunately, it does not work. The problem is that ADe is 2D, and therefore can not know that the deformation (shearing) is actually a change of "perspective", and that the gradient must rotate. Soooo, I've got a somewhat bizarre workaround.... but it does work. I've nested an object inside the square and used an outline FX set to contour gradient. The key is to make the nested shape big enough that only one edge appears within the parent shape... (I said it was bizarre ) Of course the FX will be rasterized on export, but until then it's a fully editable gradient. Naty
It is bizarre , but thanks! I wonder if this will only work for linear gradient? Oh, well. Thank you!

Hmmm, well I guess yes... but following any shape or curve. I really haven't tested it's limits, but I think you can get pretty creative with it .
