Staff Tom Lachecki Posted April 25, 2022 Staff Share Posted April 25, 2022 Hi @jimh12345 - IPTC data should not be stripped from your images, though we don't currently parse IPTC data found in the original IIM transport format. Perhaps your images use that format to store IPTC? Would you be able to provide a sample image (in a ZIP so the forum doesn't rewrite it) so that we can investigate what's going on? We can provide a Dropbox link if you want to keep it private.
jimh12345
Tom, in the interim I started another thread on this, to see if there were any new thoughts: That thread didn't produce anything. ExifTool shows my IPTC, but I don't know what "IIM" format looks like or if that's what I have. About all I can add is that I've read my hundreds of jpgs with many other programs, and uploaded them to POD and microstock sites, without having problems with the metadata. Attached is the same .zip I uploaded in that other thread. The file "with IPTC.jpg" is the starting point, I generated it with Capture One and added IPTC to it as usually do, using a free application called PixiShot. with IPTC.zip
