I’ve attached a quick screen recording showing how to do it although pretty sure it’s the same for colours and gradients to be honest. Just make sure to click on the shape that has the gradient applied to it first or that ‘may’ be throwing things here. Hope it helps a bit. Check the image, as better Explanation (i made a screenshot from the attaced video of the User markbowen Above in his comment, for the explanation of my problem).
