How can I Merge two pictures together in Affinity for iPad

Please how can I merge and blend two pictures in Affinity photo for iPad. Thank you.

What kind of merging did you have in mind? A smooth transition between two slightly overlapping pictures, selective transparency in one picture placed directly on top of another (to let parts of the bottom picture show through), or something else?

Ok, I took series of a face profiles and I need to replace a sad face with  a smiling face in another picture using Affinity in my iPad Pro
