IanSG Posted August 7, 2018 Share Posted August 7, 2018 In response to a U3A photography group "challenge" I recently converted the attached picture into a night scene, using the technique discussed here. Someone suggested that the effect was quite wintery, and maybe some snow should be added! The intention is to end up with something towards the Christmas card end of realism, but I need a plan - how best to approach this? carl123 Posted August 7, 2018 Share Posted August 7, 2018 Another approach would be to take a real snow image and overlay it onto your image, mask & blend it then paint in where the snow should be visible. You will also need to take into account the roofs and other "horizontal" surfaces where the snow may be lying.
