Phenominalblak
Has anyone used Focus Magic as a plug in along with Affinity Photo? I just purchased Focus Magic, installed it properly and it shows up as plug in, however it is greeted out and I am unable to select it. Has anyone had this issue? firstdefence
Focus Magic hasn't been tested on Windows but on Mac it has, it does have issues however: Quote Focus Magic v4.02 | Affinity Photo 1.6.6 Beta 7Compatible (minor issues).Known issues:- exif/orientation issues (rasterising the layer before starting the plugin fixes the orientation issue)- [TO CHECK] colour profiles not honoured (only sRGB works) - affects all plugins http://www.miguelboto.com/affinity/photo/plugins-support/ Quote iMac 27" 2019 Somona 14.3.1, iMac 27" Affinity Designer, Photo & Publisher V1 & V2, Adobe, Inkscape, Vectorstyler, Blender, C4D, Sketchup + more... Staff MEB Posted July 31, 2018 Staff Share Posted July 31, 2018 Hi Phenominalblak, Welcome to Affinity Forums Check the Colour Format of the image (menu Document ▸ Colour Format). is it set to RGB (32 bit)? If so change it to 16 bit (most plugins don't work in 32bit). Is it set to LAB (16bit)? If so set it to RGB (16bit). Roberto1972
Just setting the correct colormode apparently is not solving everything: here the Focus Magic plugin just doesn't start at all no matter which colormode I use: - first four or five identical error messages "memory is full" show up one after the other when clicking them away. - eventually an error message "An unhandled exception has occured..." -> crash In PhotoPlusX8 the FocusMagic plugin does not work either: when the 64b plugin is present in the plugin folder set in PhotoPlus then during PhotoPlus startup I get an error message: "Unable to enter Registration Wizard", followed by PhotoPlus closing down. When I remove the FocusMagic plugin PhotoPlus starts without problems. FocusMagic support tells me PhotoPlus is not supported while Affinity is. Affinity has got a registered copy of FocusMagic from them and Affinity should be in the position to fix the problem. Roberto
Seamus
When I select an area for FocusMagic; FocusMagic identifies a total different area. It is stated that Rasterising an image will correct orientation issues, but how do you Rasterise a pixel layer? When I hit Rasterise nothing happens and I still have the problem with FocusMagic.
