Designer - CMD select objects in group?

Recommended Posts

Hello, on the desktop version of design if you have multiply items within a group you can hold down the "CMD" key + move tool to drag select items within a group, are you able to do this on the iPad version? I tried pressing the "select inside, select under" option + move tool and just double clicking on the object within the group and drag select with no luck.

Anyone know if you can do this since selecting objects one by one will take for ever. I could also option the layer studio and double tap to select groups of objects at once but this would only work if the objects was in the correct over below it.

Thank you for your time and I hope you have a great day.

In Affinity Designer for iPad you would double tap an object within a group. Then by holding one finger on the screen you can then tap which objects within the group you want to select.

Okay, so there is no way to mass select items within a group such as on the macOS version with holding down the CMD key and drag select? you have to select one by one?

You can tap on one layer, then tap with two fingers on a second layer to select both, plus all layers in between. Like using shift on the desktop.

Windows PCs. Photo and Designer, latest non-beta versions.

Yeah tho this only works great if the layers you want to select is within the "in between" tho if you where working on a larger product and you did not keep your layers "clean" and you wanted to group layers together.

For example lets say you have a bunch of objects within the project within a single group and you wanted to select and group all the items in the middle since they where not placed at the same time they are not placed on after another so you could not (on iOS)  you the tap selection to select all objects "in between "  and on larger projects selecting them one at a time would take way to long so for example on the macOS version you would simple just hold down the "command key" and click and drag with the mouse selecting all object within it. (command selecting is not the same as just selecting)

I've attach a video:
