specworkfan
I would like to be able to save and export the brushes I create to Photo and vice versa. Failing that, it would be nice to have the same default brushes in Designer's Pixel Persona. They are pretty good, and the watercolour ones work very similar to Microsoft's intuitive demo program Fresh Paint.I can't say enough good things about the easy of editing brushes on the fly in Affinity programs. paolo.limoncelli
You are able to do it! ;) AD and AP share the same raster engine and presets definitions. Just use the menu icon in the Brushes Studio palette and choose "Export Brushes". You can export the entire category. specworkfan 1 Quote DAUB® Brushes making tools for artists, illustrators and doodlers
specworkfan
Thanks! One note though; they changed the text in the beta version only to "Import/Export Brushes". In the current Mac Store version it is "Import Category". I'm not sure if that is the same functionality as I am only using the newest beta as of yesterday, but this was the source of my confusion. I had looked there because it is the same as Photoshop. This is from AD Mac Store Version: You are able to do it! ;) AD and AP share the same raster engine and presets definitions. Staff Andrew Tang Posted March 5, 2015 Staff Share Posted March 5, 2015 Thanks! One note though; they changed the text in the beta version only to "Import/Export Brushes". Import Brushes seems more obvious than Category! :) specworkfan
specworkfan
I agree! I didn't consider importing or exporting until I saw the goodies in the photo beta, then was confused. The watercolor ones are extremely good. Affinity is what I wanted Microsoft to do with Fresh Paint. It is the same! Import Brushes seems more obvious than Category! :)
ronnyb
+100 for a shared Brushes folder. I already started a post about having a shared folder structure for all Affinity products in order to share Brushes, Styles, etc. but have not heard a definite response about it.... Who wants to manage multiple Brushes, Styles, etc from multiple apps, specially if they all share the same file format?!
