Hejo, I’ve just watched a video of frankentoon about his vector marker brushes and I could see that in the desktop version there is a blend mode for vector brushes.

So colour gets build up with every stroke (not layer based). Is that possible in the iPad version?

Cheers, Bung

Hi @Bung,

If you mean this blend mode:

This changes the blend mode of the layer. In Vector persona, each brush stroke has its own layer.

This option, however, seems to be "missing" from Designer iPad. I will log it with our developers.

Thanks,

Gabe.

Layer blend modes are supported in Designer iPad via Layers Studio > Layers Options, but that is not a very useful way compared to the context menu of the desktop apps:

As it is now, each vector brush layer has to be set to the desired blend mode after it is drawn, requiring the several steps to open the Layers Options & then the blend mode fly-out. :(

Salut.

Da’ zic, lasă că nu-i nimic.

Hi. I'm a graphic artist (I combine raster and vector elements for a living). I don't mess around with English on graphic forums because there's always someone who barely knows his mother tongue but gets all Shakespearean when he sees new foreigners on the forum. I'll put a deepl translate at the end.

I was looking to upgrade my graphics tablet and a friend told me about Affinity and the iPad. Thing is, this friend is not a pro, and I thought I'd see for myself what and how.

So I tested it out to see how this Affinity works on the tablet. I say I try vector brushes for a bit, because I contour with vector curves. You need blend modes for that.

Except, of course, Affinity doesn't have blend modes on the iPad. Well, I mean, no way. It must be a glitch. It's nothing. I apply one of these blend modes to the group. By layer. It doesn't work either way!

Are you crazy? But who are these graphics apps on the iPad for? They're definitely not for professionals.

And that's how I ended up here. On this forum 7 (SEVEN) years ago. These people were unable, or unwilling, to bring mod blends for vector brushes on the iPad? It is without comment, absolutely without comment.

Corina.
